Company Secretarial Assistant / Secretary Needed For Successful Accountancy Practice – Victoria – up to £35k

We are looking for a proficient, meticulous and process-driven Company Secretarial Assistant / Secretary, with experience of filing Companies House documentation, to join a successful accountancy practice based near Victoria.

This role would suit someone who has previously worked in a Company Secretarial role or in a Secretarial role filing Companies House records for clients.

Suitable candidates will need to have incredible attention to detail and accuracy, be highly organised with the ability to multi-task and use initiative and have confident communication skills. Knowledge/experience of company law and/or corporate governance would be highly beneficial.

Duties in this Accountancy Secretary role will include:

  • Diary management
  • Billing
  • Drafting letters of engagement
  • Statutory and adhoc filings at Companies House for extensive client base
  • Drafting/formatting correspondence/documentation
  • Printing and distributing monthly debtor’s statements
  • Meeting, greeting and liaising with clients
  • Company and LLP incorporations
  • Maintaining statutory registers
  • Dealing with Company Secretarial queries from Partners, staff and clients
  • Arranging and attending Board meetings, taking and producing minutes
  • Reception duties when required

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in a similar Company Secretarial Assistant / Senior Secretarial role, preferably with experience of Companies House filing and documentation
  • Fast, accurate typing
  • PC literacy including MS Office
  • Methodical, meticulous and organised with a strong eye for detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and use initiative
  • Working knowledge of company secretarial software (CoAct) and procedures
  • Knowledge of company law and corporate governance is highly beneficial
  • Ability to learn quickly and efficiently
