External Communications Executive – City Law Firm / Hybrid – £40k-£47k (DoE) + benefits

We are looking for an experienced External Communications Executive, with impeccable copywriting skills, to join a leading City Law firm as soon as possible.

The External Communications Executive will be responsible for writing, editing and proofing a wide range of content, including tenders, pitches, brochures, web content and newsletter.

We’re looking for someone with impeccable writing and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt writing styles as needed. Being creative yet highly organised with excellent attention to detail, you will be a stickler for accuracy and effective communication.

Key responsibilities as the External Communications Executive will include:

  • Writing and editing a wide range of materials including tenders, pitches, presentations, submissions, newsletters and brochures
  • Drafting award entries and creating a submissions calendar
  • Drafting and editing directory entries for legal publications
  • Creating communications to inform, educate and sell the firm’s services
  • Drafting external content for newsletters, international networks and the website
  • Developing the firm’s written branding
  • And more

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in a professional / business writing role (ideally external comms)
  • Exceptional copywriting skills with excellent English
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to write in a professional and friendly tone
  • Ability to adjust the tone and content of communications accordingly
  • Exposure to professional services tender processes and systems including RFP and ITT
  • Impeccable organisation and attention to detail
  • IT literate including MS Office
  • Flexible and proactive team player
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and able to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid education –  Business, Communications or Marketing qualification is desirable
