Finance Business Partner – Charity Experience Required – 12m FTC – Central London / Hybrid Working – up to £55k

We’re looking for a fully qualified Finance Business Partner, with experience working in the charity sector / charitable arm of an organisation and excellent finance and business acumen, to join a successful organisation in Central London.

The Finance Business Partner will support the business with understanding its risks, monitor and track progress against plans, build relationships with budget holders and provide business insight and advice; therefore, your relevant experience and financial and business acumen will be a valuable asset to the team. 

In a nutshell: We’re looking for a CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified Finance Business Partner with demonstrable experience of interpreting, analysing and explaining financial information to non-financial stakeholders and a strong understanding of the commercial implications of all financial data. 


Key responsibilities as the Finance Business Partner will include:

  • Providing challenge and financial support to key internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives and long term plans
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial KPIs
  • Being the first point of call for budget holders and holding close dialogue to discuss management reports
  • Preparing monthly management accounts – month end journals including accruals, prepayments and deferrals; assisting with monthly consolidated management accounts (income & expenditure statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements) and other financial reports 
  • Annual budget and management accounts forecasts
  • Balance sheet preparation
  • Supporting the internal and external audit processes
  • Providing finance systems admin support 
  • Supporting business wide projects and initiatives

What we’re looking for: 

  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified
  • Demonstrable experience in charity finance (preferred) and/or commercial environment
  • Experienced in holding close dialogue with budget holders 
  • Experienced in the interpretation, analysis and explanation of financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience of understanding the commercial implications of all financial data
  • Strong and effective communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues professionally
  • A curious mindset with the ability to spot and investigate risks 
  • Ability to make recommendations for business focused solutions
  • Experienced in using financial management systems and tools such as MS Business Central, Excel, Word and Jet reporting software
  • Available imminently and able to commit to a 12m FTC
