IT Engineer – Business Services – Central London – £40k-£45k – Immediate Start!

We are on the hunt for a proactive, forward-thinking and hands-on IT Engineer, with proven experience as an IT Engineer, Systems Administrator or similar and demonstrable experience with MS operating systems and Cisco Meraki firewalls, switches and APs, to join our client, a rapidly-growing, world class business services provider based in Central London. 

In this office based role, the IT Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure and will provide top-tier support and technical assistance to employees and clients.

You will troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues, perform installations and configure systems to ensure that all of the technology operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Please note: this is an office based role, Monday to Friday.


Key responsibilities as the IT Engineer will include: 

  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting software, hardware and systems problems
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues using diagnostic tools and remote access
  • Network and infrastructure management (wired/wireless networks, LAN, WAN and VPN infrastructure etc)
  • Performing routine maintenance and updates on IT systems 
  • Implementing and managing security measures including firewalls, antivirus and backups
  • Installing, upgrading and supporting software and applications
  • Managing data backup and recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
  • Ensuring adherence to IT policies, procedures and compliance requirements

What we’re looking for: 

  • Previous experience and success in a similar hands-on IT Engineer / Systems Administrator roles
  • Demonstrable expertise in providing IT support within a busy, fast-paced organisation (multi-site experience is advantageous)
  • Strong experience with MS operating systems and MS 365 Suite and Administrator
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Cisco Meraki firewalls, switches and APs
  • Experienced in troubleshooting and diagnosing IT issues and providing effective resolutions
  • The ability to manage and maintain various IT and communication systems 
  • Familiarity with both PC and Macs
  • Professional communications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, MCSE or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical colleagues and clients
  • Tech savvy and entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to constantly learn and develop IT knowledge 
  • Ability to write training documents for software and hardware
  • Focused, organised, self-motivated, flexible and dynamic nature
  • Desire to go above and beyond
  • Ability to start in role immediately / imminently
