Marketing and Communications Lead – FinTech Startup – UK Remote – up to £65k (DoE)

We have an incredible opportunity with a UK-based financial startup looking to recruit a Marketing and Communications Lead on a remote-first basis in the UK.

Our client is looking for a hands-on Marketing and Conmunications Lead to own, develop and produce the marketing collateral for a group of finance entities (including a startup) to build brand awareness, create and manage email marketing campaigns, maintain the CRM and play a pivotal role in how the companies engage with their target audiences. With relevant generalist and email marketing experience (preferably gained in a B2C Fintech/financial environment), you will have an innovative mind and a true passion for brand management, marketing and written content.

Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for candidates with English as their first language, who can curate accurate and compelling marketing email campaigns relevant to various demographics. This will initially be a standalone generalist / email marketing role, although you will work closely with external freelancers and influencers; once established, you will build your own marketing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has strong generalist marketing experience and a love of CRM management and email campaigns, to build continued success.

 

Please note: This role will is UK remote-first, but may require travel to the London office for team / company meetings.

 

What the role of B2C Marketing and Communications Lead will involve:

  • Undertaking generalist marketing activities
  • Managing and optimising the entire communication journey for prospective clients
  • Using insights, knowledge and skill to create engaging email collateral that will drive results
  • Segment audiences and personalise journeys using demographic, behavioural and commercial insights and data
  • Managing CRM systems
  • Monitoring campaign performance and produce reports
  • Identifying opportunities to improve engagement and retention at all stages
  • Managing a team of outsourced freelancers who will undertake digital marketing campaigns
  • Managing the execution of all marketing across digital, content and paid media channels
  • Drafting, editing and proofing written high-quality content for websites
  • Researching, writing and producing articles for investment guides, newsletters and blogs for email and websites
  • Managing and maintaining marketing and campaign calendars
  • Creating, advertising and managing webinars and online events
  • Managing all branding and tone of voice to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Championing best-in-class marketing standards

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business (or similar)
  • Strong marketing experience within a financial organisation or FinTech
  • Generalist marketing experience (c3-5 years) with a love of email marketing
  • Solid understanding of the financial sector, financial regulations and financial terminology from a marketing perspective
  • Experienced in using CRMs
  • Solid understanding and experience of behaviour-driven marketing
  • Experienced in managing campaign set up, segmentation and performance reporting
  • Professional communicator with the ability to write on-brand, purpose-led email marketing collateral
  • Experienced in creating accurate written content, with the ability to adapt ‘tone of voice’ and writing style dependent on target audience
  • Excellent copywriting and proofing skills
  • Understanding of SEO- and AI- optimised marketing
  • Ability to manage outsourced partners / freelancers / influencers
  • Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
  • Fluent English (mother tongue)
