We are professional recruiters and pride ourselves on the service we offer to both our clients and our candidates. In most cases it is a necessity to meet with candidates to discuss your CV thoroughly, assess your skills and to really get to know you; only then can we ensure we are submitting you for the right role for you.

However with the advancing technology on offer we are able to Skype and FaceTime candidates when appropriate, plus send WhatsApp and Text messages regarding interviews and feedback.

We require candidates to submit a CV in Word format (not PDF) for all vacancies. If you don’t yet have one we offer a CV service - more details can be found here.

If you are submitting your CV to Carousel for the first time and there are several vacancies that you feel you are suited to, then yes, please submit your CV to each vacancy.

If, however, you are already registered please contact your Consultant directly to discuss any vacancies you see advertised on our website or external job boards.

If your CV has been submitted to the client for consideration for their role we will keep you updated as often as we can. The recruitment process doesn’t have a set timeline and we may hear back within hours, days or even weeks. We understand this can be extremely frustrating, but we will be doing everything we can to keep you abreast of the situation.

After producing an impressive CV, preparing for an interview is one of the most important things you will do in the whole recruitment process.

Preparation in every way is the key to success!

• Thoroughly read the job description and any supporting information
• Research the company, learn about their values and company ethos, have they won awards?
• Practise typical interview questions and prepare your answers for not so typical questions!
• Think about questions you’d like to ask the interviewer
• Know your CV inside out - this is a record of your life, you should know every bit of detail intricately and interviewers won’t be impressed by candidates who don’t know their CV
• Research the location, look up train times, work out your route and allow for delays
• Plan what you’re going to wear in advance - a polished and professional appearance is key!
• Don’t leave things to the last minute; stress isn’t conducive to a successful interview
• Ensure you have a strong handshake and a warm smile - first impressions are everything
• Turn off your phone!

Please ensure you call your consultant as soon as you have finished your interview to give your feedback on how you think it went and discuss what your initial thoughts are.

We can liaise with the client and ensure they know you’re running late or even reschedule your interview if absolutely necessary. No communication will mean missing out completely; the client is unlikely to want to meet with a candidate who turns up late with no prior warning, or worse still - doesn’t turn up at all!
