Finance Director
Finance Director – Charity or non-profit experience needed – Central London / Hybrid – up to £100k
We’re looking for an ACCA qualified Finance Director, with c5 years PQE experience and experience working at Charity / Non-Profit organisation in a broad financial leadership role, to join a successful organisation in Central London.
The Finance Director will lead all areas of the finance team, promoting best practice and good financial discipline across the organisation. The FD will also oversee the provision of facilities and building services, maximising commercial returns where appropriate.
Key responsibilities as the Finance Director will include:
- As a key member of the Finance Board, actively contribute to strategic discussions giving accurate financial insights to support effective decision-making
- Leading and managing the finance team, leading all areas including group statutory and management reporting
- Reviewing, developing and improving financial polices, procedures and processes
- Overseeing the preparation and review of monthly management accounts
- Leading the preparation of statutory financial accounts for all Group entities
- Leading end-to-end budgeting and forecasting processes
- Reporting to boards and senior management, ensuring a clear understanding of financial performance (including P&L, cashflow and balance sheet)
- Managing, forecasting and reporting the cash and investments of the organisation
- Overseeing the development, implementation and improvement of financial systems
- Managing relationships with banks, suppliers and external auditors
- Leading the Facilities and Building services team
- Working with the Head of Building Services regarding contractors and suppliers

What we’re looking for:
- Fully qualified Finance Director with 5+ years PQE
- Experience at a charity / non-profit organisation is essential
- Experienced in leading a finance team
- Experience in overseeing the facilities / estates departments
- A strong, hands-on leader with the capability to determine financial strategies
- A growth mindset with good commercial acumen and and intellectual curiosity
- Experience of understanding the commercial implications of all financial data
- Strong and effective communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues professionally
- A curious mindset with the ability to spot and investigate risks
- Ability to make recommendations for business focused solutions
- Experienced in using financial management systems and tools
- Experience in systems improvement and implementation
- A proactive, results-driven self-starter
